THE OPPORTUNITY
Manhattan-based tutoring agency is hiring someone experienced in one or more of the following:
-AP Calculus (AB/BC)
-AP Biology
-AP Chemistry
-AP Physics
We are seeking a responsible, organized contractor who has a passion for teaching and an affable personality. We are interested in a presentable, engaging, enthusiastic, and articulate individuals.
Our rate is among the highest of any agency anywhere for elementary, middle, and high school test prep, and we're only looking for the elite person who is worth it! Our starting rate is $80-100 per hour for those who have at least 5 years' teaching experience (and at least 2 years' extensive experience in AP support), along with an amazing track record of success. A brief test will be administered as part of the interview process.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- traveling to students' homes throughout Manhattan and/or Brooklyn.
- providing instruction to students in a patient, compassionate manner with a consistently positive attitude.
- providing parents with session reports
- providing communication with The Tutorverse regarding students' progress.
REQUIREMENTS
You must:
- have at least five full years of post-grad teaching experience
- be available weekdays after school and/or weekends
- be willing and able to commit to one full school year
- have a bachelor's degree from a prestigious college or university
- have excellent references and pass a background check
